This template is different from the others in that it doesn’t allow you to edit the HTML in the joomla template manager. I wanted to add additional meta tags like I normally do but it is all restricted. Does anyone know where this can be done now?

    Open your tempalte folder/layout/blocks/head.php
You can see and edit your code

Yes I know how to do it taht way… Im just cunfused they went this route and rendered the template manager editor useless… The edit HTML in the template manager serves no purpose with this template. If I wanted to manually edit files i wouldn’t be using joomla.

    DO you have FTP software??
USE FTP or Your cpanel file manager to do it

Yes I know HOW to edit it..It is not the point. Creating a template the removes functions in joomla did not make sence.

So based on this information, how exactly do you add meta tags to a template if you don’t have access to the HTML editor any more?

You have to log in via ftp and do it all manualy.

Would you have some time to write me a quick tutorial? I am a little lost here.

    go to /templates/your template/layouts/blocks/head.php

Here you can add your extra meta tags.
I know it was easier before but this is the way it has to be done now with Joomlart. Seems a little silly but what are you going to do. If you read the string the only replies i got was to ftp into the site and do it manually. Kind of a step beck when you could just do in inside the joomla template manager before.
