    Hello, the problem is:

    I have a submenu link here: http://www.policydrafts.com/about/services.html that does not show any header image… I have been trying to figure out why? I deleted the demo submenu items that were showing the header image find just like the live demo site on Joomlart. Is there something simple that I am missing? Please help

    The other 5 main menu items and all have different headers. They look and work great. But I want the submenu items to show the same header its parent just like the demo.

    Thanks,

    Devin

    It appears you simply haven’t uploaded an image called “header2.jpg” to the following

    templates/ja_mageia/images/header/default/header2.jpg

    It’s calling for it…but not seeing it. So just check that folder and upload your image there and it will pop up for you.

    Have fun!
    John.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the reply… I have an image in templates/ja_mageia/images/header/default/

    called header2.jpg, it is being called by the “About” Main Menu Link just fine. That is the image that comes with the template package. Not sure what’s the deal with the submenu item…

    Thanks though, have any other ideas?

    Ahh….

    In your Administrative panel …. open the content page or module in which the image appears (not sure which as I don’t have this template installed)…and just above the content area you’ll see a menu showing your menu layout. The About > Service page is apparently not selected on which to show that image. Both About and Service should be selected if you want it to appear on both.

    Now…hope THAT helps 😛

    Hello again!

    So I’m in Admin Panel, there is no content page or module that show these images… If there is, I sure can’t find it anywhere. I understand what you are saying, but cannot find a module or content item that is used for the header image.

    Try this…

    Look in MODULES and sort them by position and look for “HEADER” position. That’s where the images are located. Perhaps that will give us a clue.

    there is no module in the header position, the headings are called in the code i believe.

    Well I’m so curious I downloaded the template just to check.
    Problem is, I can’t recreate your problem. I can add submenus to infinity…and the pictures appear.
    Since you are using the Mootools menu…try changing it to a suckerfish and see if perhaps the java in Mootools is screwing with the images.

    Outside of that…I, like you, am stumped. But since I’m not seeing a problem with submenus, I’d suggest at last resort, just blowout the template and upload a new copy of it. Who knows…could just be a case of noise screwing with the code during uploading.

    Good luck!
    John.

    Hi everyone,

    I am creating left menu items and the same appear on the top menu. Is there any way that I put lots of items left menu but only put 3 on the top, not all the left menu items to appear on the top?

    Thanks,

    Yeah so, I have to reinstall the template for a 3rd time!? This is not very cool.

    Ok, SO UPDATE:

    I scrapped my whole site and reinstalled the JA Mageia quickstart again… After installation header images show properly. HERE’S THE PROBLEM: Turn on Search Engine Friendly URLs and BLAM… all sub-menu navigation header images disappear…

    jbrett… you most likely did not turn on search engine friendly URLs when you tried to recreate the problem. Turn them on an rename the htaccess file… you’ll see what I mean.

    I guess the simple fix is this:

    Create a new Module for Custom HTML and then insert your header image. (in this case I will use header2.jpg) templates/ja_mageia/images/header/default/header2.jpg

    Give the module a class suffix name ( for this example I will use the suffix name “actions”

    Open templates_css.css

    Add the following lines:

    /* Custom Headers for Search Engine Friendly URLs */

    div.moduletableactions {
    padding-left: 219px;
    }

    You will notice that the header image is now properly placed but the gray bar at the bottom is now covered up. Either add this in with photoshop and call a new photo or ?… I haven’t figured out another method quiet yet. Will post if I do soon. Just started working on this problem a bit ago again. Thanks

    This is a Joomla problem, rather than a JA Mageia one.

    The fix I used was to open inlcudes/application.php

    and change row 108 from…

    $document->setBase(JURI::current());

    to…

    $document->setBase(JURI::base());

    You’ll need to do it again each time you upgrade, but it works.

    I tried this and errors on the page:

    Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie – headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/includes/application.php:1) in public_html//libraries/joomla/session/session.php on line 412

    Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /includes/application.php:1) in public_html/policydrafts
