I have the same issue, after installing JCE 2.0 and all licensed plugins the typo button does not show in the editor. I have refreshed all caches and have files set to “linked” not join & compress etc. still no luck. I am using the J1.7 version of Joomla from a successful Quickstart installation todayShane</blockquote>

September 7, 2011 at 9:06 am #411166Hi,
Did you upgrade to the latest version of JCE ? I guess this is more of JCE issue than JA Typo plugin.

September 7, 2011 at 11:02 am #411193Hi Pascm
Thanks for your response
I am using the latest JCE yes, but I don’t see where it is suddenly a JCE problem without you (JA) attempting some form of investigation, JA pretty well always tries some solutions before giving up and blaming the extension developer, The extension is rated as J1.7 compatible. perhaps it’s JA typo that isn’t compatible with one of the Joomla scenes most popular and latest extension 🙂

September 7, 2011 at 4:04 pm #411264Well… from my point of view since JA Typo is working just fine with TinyMCE it should work on JCE also as on J1.5.x does.
The only action that JA Typo performs on the editor box is the button and when you press a selection then it just post the correct code / set of html tags.By the way… i didn’t blame anyone actually i myself use JCE as i think it’s the best editor for Joomla, but lately JCE still releases upgrades, so from my point of view… it’s not that suddenly or giving up… with this one! Otherwise i wouldn’t say… ” I guess it’s more of JCE issue than JA Typo” 😉
And as for, if JA Typo is not yet compatible with J1.7.x …the latest version for J.1.7 is working perfect on J.1.7.x

Can’t fix it via JAExt Manager.
I use JCE 2.0.10 download from http://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/joomla-17Any good idea to fix this issue?</blockquote>
There have been @ least 2 updates since that one. infact 2.0.10 is a security risk. Please upgrade JCE and try again.

September 8, 2011 at 5:06 am #411396simply extract it to your root joomla folder. No “patching” needed. This fix has been submitted for inclusion in the next release. Also be sure to update jce to 2.0.12 as it does have an issue with the button’s as well

September 8, 2011 at 10:56 am #411453Hi Manos
I appreciate all your help, forgive me if I took your comment on “I guess it’s more of a JCE issue than JA Typo” to mean that JCE was the problem and there wasn’t any possibility that JA Typo was incompatible. 🙂The updated .js script that n6reg supplied has fixed my problem so I’m grateful and happy once again. perhaps n6rej will tell us if the JA Typo was at fault or simply needed modification to suit the latest JCE?

September 8, 2011 at 5:46 pm #411525JCE editor is the one of the most used editors.I suggest JA_typo developers should take testing before release ja_typo for joomla editors.Isn’t it?Or Ja_typo makes no sense for some joomla editors.:)

October 6, 2011 at 9:43 am #417253The new release of plg_system_jatypo.v1.1.2 still doesn’t fix this issue under JCE editor v2.0.14,Jesus! >:(>:(
And,that ja_typo_script_js.zip patch doesn’t work under JCE editor 2.0.14 too.<em>@n6rej 266414 wrote:</em><blockquote>Believe me i’m on it 😀 tyvm.</blockquote>
