    Hi,

I have installed the JA Header module from the Antares template and used it in Wistery (Joomla! 1.5) okay. However, since I deleted one of the images the sequence doesn’t loop anymore. Also new images put in the same folder do not appear. Can anybody help?
    Thanks.

Do you have SEF urls enabled? This is usually the problem.

Are you testing the site locally/ If you viewed teh folder in windows with thumbnail view on this can also cause problems.

    Thanks Scotty,

I am trying the site locally. I just noticed that with Java it does loop. The problem with Java is that the first image is gray with top left the icon image (as if it did not find the image) and the transitions paramaters do not work as well as with Flash. I changed how I view the pictures in the header folder but it doesn’t seem to make a difference… or maybe I did not understand your help (and why should it make a difference anyway?)
Am I the only one with this problem? Couldn’t find anything on the forum…

    Thanks.

It makes a difference. When you use windows to view a folder in Thumbnail view it creates a hidden file called ‘thumbs.db’. You can not see this when you view the folder but when the slideshow views the folder it finds it and gets stuck.

You need to go to your folder and enable ‘view system files’ and delete it.

Do a google search for deleting thumbs.db for more info.

PS: The grey image that java is showing is the thumbs.db file and yes there are parameter problems with this extension.

    Hi Scotty,

That’s it. Solved it! I also have the problem that the same site’s slideshow doesn’t work with Mozilla… just a grey screen, any ideas?

Thank you a lot for your support.

Clear your browser cache and try again.

Are you using any PNG’s in the slideshow or are they all .jgp images?
