Greetings,
Maybe this is a simple oversight on my end….after testing this great template, the pages are not scrolling at all….is there a setting I’m overlooking?
Thanks!

March 9, 2011 at 7:32 pm #380564Is this a fresh install? Did you use the quickstart? That will setup the template correctly. Cloris is a very “out of the box” template and requires a number of things to be seup in a particular way for it to behave as per the demo.
March 9, 2011 at 9:20 pm #380579Greetings,
I actually installed Joomla from my Fantastico within my cpanel…..then I installed the template. Are you suggesting to in stall using Quickstart?

March 9, 2011 at 9:41 pm #380586Yes, never use fantastico as it causes more problems than I can write about without resorting to a load of expletives.
Start again and this time use the quickstart.
March 10, 2011 at 9:00 pm #380803used the Quick start…worked like a charm!! Thanks! And thanks for the heads up with Fantasitco…

March 10, 2011 at 9:57 pm #380814Pleasure.
Fantastico could be good but it has a few problems. The first and one of the biggest is that hosts often do not keep their scripts up to date. I have seen hosts where their Joomla install is over a year old and many versions behind security update wise. As you can imagine this is very bad indeed. Next is that by the way it works it must modify core parts of the original script. Therefore your Joomla install is not always as the makers built it.
In your case (I do not know how up to date your hosts install was) you could not automatically install the JA quickstart database so you were unable to setup the template as JA designed.
Well done on taking the time to learn how to install scripts as their designers intended. Many just cannot take the time to learn and for those fantastico is an option. Doing things the way you have is by far the best method.
