Hello
I am currently looking to setup a template school website based on joomla that can be used as a quick start for other schools. If I signed up as a member could I include one of your templates in this? Does this statement:
The non-profit domains will not be counted to the total of licensed domains.
Mean that I could?

March 8, 2007 at 9:11 pm #215376Hi sysman_mk,
In regards to having a non-profit domain I understand you wish to setup a website which will be a quick start for other schools. Can I ask if it is going to be owned/run by a school and if you will be charging for access to the information.
I also suggest you contact Joomla on their contact page – http://www.joomlart.com/contact_us.html
March 8, 2007 at 9:17 pm #215377Hi miccas
The idea is to create a site package with pre-installed modules and componets which a school could use. They can just upload this pre created site and edit the content to suite their needs.
This will be at no cost to anyone. What I need is a quality template to include, hence the question posted.
Regards

March 8, 2007 at 9:36 pm #215381Hi sysman_mk,
So if I am hearing correctly you want to create a package that any school can upload that will include both the Joomla system and a selected Joomlart template?
I’d suggest, if this is the case, that you contact Joomlart directly at http://www.joomlart.com/contact_us.html
March 8, 2007 at 9:56 pm #215383Cheers Miccas I will give that a go.

Hi sysman,
From your conversation with Michael, I guest you would like to provide a downloadable JoomlArt template on your non-profit site (school site)
I am sorry this will not be allowed because we do allow to use JA template for free at non profit site, and do NOT allow to distribute them on non-profit site.Hope this will clear the confusion
March 9, 2007 at 8:57 am #215413Many thanks for the clarification Hung.

March 9, 2007 at 9:08 am #215414I would suggest looking at getting a developer’s license for your needs.
April 6, 2007 at 9:17 am #217375Hi guys,
I have an extra question:
<em>@Hung Dinh 9343 wrote:</em><blockquote>…
we do allow to use JA template for free at non profit site,</blockquote>
I am looking for a template for a non-profit organisaiton and i’m very interested in a JA template.
Does this mean I don’t have to pay for it?
Would i have to leave a copyright notice in that case?Greetings,

I think you still need a subscription to obtain access to the templates, however the non-profit domain does not get access to it.April 6, 2007 at 9:49 am #217377Thanks for the quick answer MiCCAS.
Let’s see if i understood you correctly.
I would have to subscribe to to the standard membership, but the domain would not be counted to the total of licensed domains. Right?I’m asking again, because i only need one template for one non-profit domain.
For a minute i thought i could get a free license. But that’s not the case, right? Thanks,

I cannot be 100% definate about the fact if you need a license or not, but I can assure you if you purchased it then that domain is not counted.I’m sorry I do not have all the answers for you, I’m not 100% sure myself. But, if they can’t do anything for you contact me and I’ll see what I can do.
April 6, 2007 at 11:08 am #217379Thanks MiCCas.
I’ll try to get my answers through the contact form.
April 19, 2007 at 10:40 pm #218507Hi, I used the main contact form to ask this question, but haven’t had a response as yet, wonder if anyone can help…
<blockquote>Hi,
Just wanted to check something in the T&C that I hadn’t read before.
That is, that non-profit domains aren’t included in the domain count.
As it happens the 3 domains registered on my account are all for non-profit groups. There is no way to add non-profit domains to the account without in doing so taking up one of the licences.
I actually have two more non-profit domains that (if I’m allowed, which I think I am according to the T&C) I’d like to use your templates on. So how can I do this without being able to submit the domain? Should I just let you know by email the URL for these non-profit domains, or have I misunderstood the T&C?
Thanks
</blockquote>Anyone else know what to do in this situation, don’t want to get in to trouble for breaking T&C. Cheers

April 20, 2007 at 8:02 am #218534Not the best answer or what you want to hear but send Hung Dinh a PM. He usually replies to PM’s relatively quickly! Just a suggestion as I can’t tell you the answer to your quest! :p
