what do you mean by Non joomla body position? Could you explain please.

Hi Bernhard

Sorry. I used the confusing terminology in the template documentation. There there is a reference to two non-joomla module… I think they meant module positions.

However I declared body in the jomla template positions…but whateever module I assigned to it is not positioned at all… Is there a hierachy that makes body unassignable ?

Still no clue what you are trying to do. Did you add a new module position named “body”? If yes, you have to change your template as well, to show this position.
