The not-for-profit site being considered for Joomla! is centreconnect.org. You can see it online. They are a collection of education, local government, and non-profit organizations like the local “meals-on-wheels” and “site loss support group”. Each organization will be under the name of centreconnect.org like this… meals.centreconnect.org, siteloss.centreconnect.org, cnet.centreconnet.org, etc.

There are 10 or so subdomains being considered at this time, maybe 50 or so in the future.
The new subdomains will come online over the next years. What will be the most economical way to license this domain centreconnect.org and its subdomains for using your templates? Different subdomains may use different templates.

    Thanks.

    Hi Duane,
The non-profit domains will not be counted to the numbers of licensed domains so a standard JATC membership will be fine.

The domain centreconnect.org sounds cool btw 🙂

    Hung,

A standard membership is for a 3 months. If/When we add more subdomains in 6 months or a year from now, we’ll need to pay the $49 for subscription again, correct?

A better solution may be to pay $70 to cover for a complete year of possiblities? Or $200 for 5 years.

    Thanks.

If you have many domains and would like to use it on many domains I will suggest $200 for 5 years. You will not have to worry about renewal any more 🙂

A membership grants access to the templates – right?

I mean just because he add some sub domains later on he is entitled to use the templates he has downloaded when he was a member (without renewing anything) – right?

Or is the usage of the templates restricted to a year

    That is correct.

No, you have lifetime access as long as you license the domain whilst your membership is current.
