Hi,
Just wondering if you guys have plans making your templates and/or framework compatible with Nooku Server, I have been playing with 0.7 version and it looks very promising. Version 1.0 beta should be out in May, and will have multi language and multisite capability that I need for several projects.
Thank you in advance.

March 30, 2011 at 8:38 am #383974Hi Orsat,
We have not tested our template framework with the nooku framework, we might try testing with the stable release of nooku framework. Currently we do not have plans for this update.
regards
Arvind
March 31, 2011 at 10:23 am #384253Hi Arvind,
Thank you for replying. I have spoken to many colleagues and we all agree that for the moment we will not be making the switch to Joomla 1.6. (there are to many issues, the 6 months release cycle being one of them).
I am asking this because I noticed that your competition (starts with R…) has already made some arrangements to be compatible with Nooku Server (a slimmed and improved 1.5 distribution). As I told you, having used it for a while I am very excited, IMO this is how Joomla should have been developed in the first place, please have a look because I think that there are more of your customers that might think like I do.
Thanks…
April 1, 2011 at 8:52 pm #384486I just installed the Nooku Server and a template from another compnay (Starts with G..) It worked pretty well, about 95%. Only one thing didn’t work right away but that may have been because I could not use the quickstart obviously. I installed all the modules and components manually and just had to make one configuration change to a module to get it to look exactly like it did with their quickstart.
I would suggest going ahead and trying to install a JA template on Nooku Server. You will have to install all the modules, components, etc manually, but you may be pleasantly surprised. I think NS is supposed to be totally transparent to J!1.5 compatible products.

Yes, NS should be compatible to all or most 1.5 products, can’t wait for the 1.0 release, just to think that I wont have to install and maintain at least 3-4 components to do the things a “normal” CMS should do out of the box, not to mention the difference in speed which is amazing already.
Now, if only the Joomlart guys would consider building their own framework on top of Nooku, the world would be perfect

May 10, 2011 at 2:36 pm #390598hi all,
I totally agree, nooku all the way. i have tested a template on v .7 NS and all was well. Speed is everything and i hope ja follow suit and develop on top of NS.
November 30, 2011 at 10:17 pm #427378Wondering how you guys got t3 to work on nooku 0.7. I used it fine on the old version of NS, but the t3 template admin backend wont load when using 0.7. Was there anything else special you needed to do to get it to work?
Thanks!
