February 24, 2012 at 5:03 pm #174253So I have literally scoured the Norite forums and every forum I could find on the internet trying to find an instruction for creating the Col Mass1 module position for the new Norite Template for Joomla 2.5 and have found nothing that helps in anyway. It would be very helpful if you could assist me and the JA Community with this as I have seen several other posts from your members seeking this same information for a few of your templates. Please advise.

February 25, 2012 at 8:34 pm #440038So I set its position to the right-mass-top and as the name of this position indicates it displays to the far right instead of centered as is displayed in the norite demo.(see attached image) I need to know how to replicate the display of the Norite demo with regards to this module and its positioning.

February 27, 2012 at 3:13 pm #440331You have got to be kidding me?! Again! This shows NOTHING regarding specifically the Col Mass1 position! Why is this one question so hard to get any real support on?! Is it Joomlart’s position to offer no support to those of us who are yet learning the finer points of site design and thereby increasing their number of return customers? The question is simple enough yet none of the JA support staff is bothering to take the time to answer the question directly! I expected more than this for what we paid for our membership!>:(

February 27, 2012 at 5:12 pm #440362Please do not get angry with Khoand. He is obviously trying hard to help you but possibly due to the difference in native language it is hard to understand what exactly you are after.
So please, can you tell me exactly what you are after layout wise? If you are after the same layout as per the demo yuo could simply refer to the docs. Or you could install a copy of the quickstart on your local machine and compare the settings and module positions. Or you could user our demo builder to gain access to the back end of an exact copy of the demo.
This link wil show you all the module positions in the front page of the demo – http://joomla17-templates.joomlart.com/ja_norite/?tp=1
This link may also help – http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-norite-module-position-guide/
Or if you show me an image showing exactly what you want I can try and help you.

February 28, 2012 at 12:11 am #440460I have asked this same question numerous times over the course of the last 3 weeks and am just very frustrated at not getting an answer specific to “How do I get a Col Mass1 module position created in the Norite template for J!2.5”. The real problem however now appears to be in the labeling of these positions because your last link shows it being called the Col Mass1 position, but if you look at the available positions in the template manager it is actually called the right-mass-top…confusing when you are seeking this information.
Also what I am trying to do is to display the JA SlideShow3 module in the JA SlideShow position but here again the terminology I have seen throughout the various threads I have read on this were all referring to it as the Col Mass1 position. Again, very confusing! All I want to do right now is to get the JA SlideShow3 module to display in the SlideShow module position.

February 28, 2012 at 12:16 am #440462The position is already there as part of the template, you just need to create a module in the position right-mass-top
I have briefly put one there for you in the home page so you can see it. It is called “Test”
Or maybe I am miss-understanding what exactly you are after. If there is something on the demo that you want please post a link to the demo page you are seeing your desired module on and tell me which module it is.

February 28, 2012 at 1:00 am #440470Ahh, so we are finally getting there. You actually want a slideshow as per the demo:laugh:
I have set that up for you but it is all in the docs for the template.
Here is an image showing the back end settings from the demo – http://static.joomlart.com/images/templates/J16/ja_norite/slideshow_backend.jpg
Here is the guide about how to setup that particular module exactly as per the demo – http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/userguide-ja-norite-template-for-joomla-2-5/
Hope that helps

February 28, 2012 at 1:29 am #440471I know right?! Been chasing my tails for weeks trying to find this info but the confusing terminology has made that virtually impossible for me! Like I said I searched and searched for this info and knew it had to be somewhere but WOW I never imagined it being so difficult to get such a simple question answered!

February 28, 2012 at 3:59 am #440500So I set the resolution of my images to the recommended 460 x 300 but now they are displaying with a large black space above them? What is the pixels per sq inch supposed to be with this size?

It can be hard at times for us to understand exactly what you or other users are asking for. It wasn’t until you asked for a slideshow that we could understand what you were after. Not easy when all of us are from different nations with different native languages. I am guessing you are American, I am from the UK plus we have supporters from India, the US, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece and a lot of staff from Vietnam where JA is based. Sometimes it is just a matter of finding the right person from the team to assist. Or if you can paste an image from the demo showing exactly what you want when you do not know the terminology that can speed things up.
As for your little image size problem I have been into your admin and changed the resize method for you so your images now fit. If you look in the advanced options on the JA Slideshow you can change the thumbnail mode. It was on “Crop” and I have changed it to “From Image”.
