July 29, 2011 at 4:05 pm #166853Hello,
When I try to download any extension from the joomla extentions directory using “Upload Package File” I get the following error:
JFolder::create: Could not create directory — Warning: Failed to move file!
I installed the Quickstart package so maybe I need to download something extra??
Greetz!

There maybe is a permission issue that caused the files could not be wrote, you can go to your back-end, navigate to the Global configuration >> server then you enable the FTP Option and enter your FTP Info there.
I hope this should help !

August 10, 2011 at 6:50 am #405311Hello Dat Hoang,
Thank you for your response! I did what you said, but noticed that Enable FTP automatically stays on No The rest of the info stays exactly as I filled it in .
Anyway… I still can’t download any module and the error message is still the same 🙁

ArckooJanuary 23, 2012 at 4:02 am #434906Hello All,
I wanted to add that I am at the same point with Pyro, and have desperately changed the entire site to Chmod 777 – and still, after checking FTP settings and trying to set FTP on in global: “Warning: Failed to move file!”
I get the same for the other two options as well – it can’t find the file.
Any advice or direction is much appreciated!
