I don’t want all the content on the frontpage, just a few categories.
How do I set that in the JA News modules?

Can you explain more? Do you not want the ‘front page’ module like the demo (1 main story and four others) and just want ‘news’ module, like the sections below?

Do you have a URL to a demo site?

I want only a few sections visible on the frontpage, because some information on the site is not ment for the frontpage.

I hope that I explain this clear.
With other words, I have a section called “profielen” and that section should not be visable on the frontpage, other sections have to be visable.
I also want to make a certain arrangement in sections.
