January 7, 2012 at 12:22 am #172519I am quite disturbed that this is not stated in extensions directory “NOT FOR V 2.5xxx”…I have just paid for membership to use this and it is useless.
I feel misled and it seems that you are ignoring your extensions customers, as some of these are not usable!!!When will be updated?

With all due respect, I fail to see how JA could have “misled” you when – on the JAEC Listing Page – the initial info for our K2 Search & Filter Extension indicates that it is currently compatible with J1.5, not J1.7 (at this time).
Further, there are quite a number of discussions throughout the JA Community Forum regarding this issue.

At this time, there is no definitive date or timeframe we can provide as to when the K2 Search & Filter Extension will be updated for compatibility with K2 2.5. Please do keep an eye on our UPDATES section for continuing and future announcements.

January 9, 2012 at 6:37 pm #433156Sorry, tom…if you look at that page, then click on the “read more” link
http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/extensions/ja-k2-search

Extensions for Joomla! 1.5 & 1.7

And, there is no mention of k2 versions that it is compatible with or not compatible…
Below the paragraph of intro text is a link to download for Joomla 1.6!!!!
SO, to be compatible with Joomla 1.6 or 1.7, by default it have to be useable with K2, v2.5xxx, or is there something that I am missing?
there are quite a number of discussions throughout the JA Community Forum regarding this issue.

And, if this is a prevalent issue in the forums, why is this issue not addressed? Here is a post that has been answered by you:::
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/k2-2-5-x-compatibility/The question:

It seems a lot of folks really need this to be compatible with 2.5x.

Your answer:

It already is
What is going on here?

Again, incorrect – as the screenshot I provided for you above clearly depicts and denotes.@mneese 293752 wrote:
This extension is not for joomla 1.6 nor 1.7…this extension is misrepresented!

Respectfully disagree . . . there is no express documentation to substantiate such – again, as opposed to the screenshot I provided for you that indicates this extension to be compatible with J1.5, but no indication of it being compatible (as of this date) with J1.6/J1.7.As such, there is neither any “misrepresentation” nor “false advertising” on JoomlArt’s part . . . but, rather, an unfortunate misinterpretation in this case, on your part.
At this time, there is little point in perpetuating any further back-and-forth debate.
We can respectfully agree to disagree.Closing this thread at this time.
