June 18, 2012 at 12:50 pm #178267After setting up twitter import everything works fine – however there were only 2 messages out of 20 imported.
Any ideas why and how the we can import the rest as well? Here is the Wall-site (Twitter account http://twitter.com/#!/obsolescencecom).

June 18, 2012 at 4:59 pm #457894First check to make sure you have the latest version of JA SOCIAL PLUGIN – a new one came out three days ago. Update through your JA Extension Manager.
What I would suggest is deleting both of them – clearing your cache and give it one more try.
If you still get just two, and you must get the much older Tweets to populate, then one of us will need to take a look inside your setup. But sometimes just deleting, clearing cache will wake it up.John

June 18, 2012 at 7:18 pm #457910Hi John,
we tried it a couple of times – also updated plugin to the latest version. Now there are NO tweets imported…:((
I sent you login-data to the joomla backend by PM – do you need FTP as well?
Hope to hear from you …

June 18, 2012 at 8:12 pm #457912Frank,
Your settings seem to be correctly set. However, when I click “VERIFY” in your JA SOCIAL FEED plug-in (which shows you what your settings are receiving from Twitter) only two Tweets are showing and the rest “unavailable”…which is probably why you were only showing two Tweets. You probably should try to Tweet a “new” tweet to see if it will read that. I reposted one of your Tweets to my personal account (you’re welcome…LOL) but it did not show up.
One other curiosity:
Looking at the date of those Tweets and the date you installed sh404sef and I’m wondering if good ol’ SH404SEF is conflicting in someway. I would at least turn off/disable SH404SEF for a bit just to see if that is perhaps where the issue is. If it is, we certainly want to know about that…but I’m not going into your admin panel and do that without your permission.STILL:
I’m going to push this up to our developers…but it will be a couple of hours before they come in for the day.Something is amiss and we want to know why.
Thanks for your patience. 🙂

June 18, 2012 at 8:45 pm #457917John,
thanks for your feedback.
It appears now that the “two” tweets were imported again (did not deactivate SH404SEF)…..So maybe a “long term caching issue…” 😮If we “verify” the joomlart Twitter account it shows also just a few tweets…and not all.
Well if you have any ideas or get feedback from the developers do not hesitate to give me a message.Frank

Hello Frank,
I have read a guide about search api of twitter again, there are some limitations of search result (such as: You cannot use the Search API to find Tweets older than about a week.. You can read more at “Using the Twitter Search API“).
So, you only see some tweet on your wall now. But plugin will import all your new tweets from now if any.

June 20, 2012 at 11:13 am #458195Ok, for automatic import we do need to setup a cron-job for
/plugins/system/jasocial_feed/elements/cron.phpCan you confirm that?

Freissmann,
We use pseudo cron to automatically import feed, so you do not need configure anything in your system. The cron tab will be automatically call if there is a request from front-end of your site (depending on interval that you configured in back-end)
