    So our site is looking good in FF, but in IE it’s a disaster. Of course we’ve customized the template (added a few positions, little stuff) but nothing that would make the mega menu fall apart or anything else in IE.

    We’ve used your templates many times and done lots of work with T3 so we are better than average at diagnosing problems, but I wanted you to look at this one. It’s urgent.

    Thank you!

    Hi themandril2002

    I have checked and saw that you are installing a lot of extensions and there is conflicting with two extensions

    You have to disable each extension to find this issue. I am sorry for not being of much help in the case.

    how did you see the conflict? I’d love to learn how to do that. Thank you.

    so far if I turn off the twitter module that came with the template and rs form the front page works right (except it’s slightly too narrow for some reason) but I don’t understand why I can have these active on other templates including other t3 templates of yours and they work fine?

    Realize that I have two versions of the template installed – the “no breadcrumbs” version is for the front page only so the middle content section top art won’t appear (there’s probably a better way to do this than two templates) and then the regular kyanite II template which is every other page of the site.

    Okay, I went through every page of the site using ie7, turning on and off plugins and modules and such until I found the things that were conflicting. Here are the issues:

    ==========

    Issue 1: The following items break the menu:

    jtweets – the twitter module from joomla bamboo.

    the system plugin and the article plugin for RS Forms.

    your twitter module that comes with the template.

    mod_hwd_vs_sql_datalists – a video display module for HWD.

    mod_jabulletin – yours I believe?

    mod_metamod – the best module in the world, I’m sure you know what it is.

    I can’t live without some of these modules and I shouldn’t have to. If this is fixed with your template update, I need help on how I would incorporate your menu changes as I can’t just replace the template, we’ve modified it (without doing any damage to it) and we don’t want to have to recreate all of that. Again, the template works fine in FF and Safari, but the menu is breaking in ie7 (don’t have ie8 to test with).

    ==========

    Issue 2: the middle section on the front page won’t fit:

    look at the home page at http://www.jackcanfield.us – it’s fine in browsers until you get to IE – in IE it is pushing the 4th column down a line.

    ==========

    Issue 3: some modules are breaking out of their frame on some pages:

    look at http://www.jackcanfield.us/meet-jack/video-testimonials – notice the advertisement and more videos modules on the right in IE are breaking out of the right side edge which looks bad. Doesn’t do this in other browsers.

    ==========

    Issue 4: The selections on the search page are stacked, they should be in a row left to right:

    look at http://www.jackcanfield.us/search/ – notice the columns of selections that should be a left to right list?

    ==========

    Issue 5: Some pages are not selecting the correct template color:

    I solved it temporarily by putting the blue images in the default area overwriting the red images and changing all the red color references in the template.css file to the blue color, but it should be selecting the blue colors and images every time – it does in other browsers besides IE.

    ==========

    I appreciate your help – we’re in a hurry – we’ve used your templates before and not had this much trouble with cross-browser compatibility. Please tell me what to do – thank you so much, you guys are the best!!!

    Sorry to bug you, but they’re getting nervous. Got a fix for the menu blowing up issue?

    Items 1 and 2 were fixed by using jacompress – thank you!

    the other items are still an issue…

    and also, for some reason with this template, when a user registers, the email has been sent message doesn’t appear – but when you get the email and click the link to activate, the message that should have appeared before appears. Do you know what’s up with that?

    Hi sir

    please make sure that this code : <jdoc:include type=”message” /> is in templatesja_kyanite_iilayoutsblocksmain.php file. I have viewed with our template and it is exist.

    all messages in joomla will display by this code.

    The messages are all sorted out, but now we have an issue on this page:

    http://www.jackcanfield.us/index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=items&cid=54&id=268&Itemid=191

    in most browsers it’s fine, but in ie7 it pushes the right column down below the left. Tienhc was able to fix a similar issue on the front page – can you tell me what to do here?

    Thank you!!!

    Hi themandril2002

    It is from video module. it is very large. You should descrease the width of each element.

    Hope it helps.

    Unfortunately, no matter how small I make it – it still appears below. As it doesn’t appear that way in any other browser, I think we have a problem?

    I don’t get it – why won’t it put things in the right column no matter how small in ie7?
