Hi,

In “Overview of JA Larix features” the words are:
“Joomla 1.0.x + Joomla 1.5 compatible”.
Here: http://www.joomlart.com/templates_club/club_portfolio/ja_larix.html

But no. Many problems and many hours of trying, and still the Slideshow dont work.

A: So why do joomlart tell us, JA Larix is Joomla 1.5 compatible?
B: Am I the only one, with this kind of problem?

And yes, of course Joomla 1.5 is in “Legacy: 1.0” state. 😉

Ok,the template might be compatible, but this is not a template problem, its the slideshow module:confused:

Thanks for the quick reply. 🙂

OK, so the JA Larix template is Joomla 1.5 compatible, but the slideshow is not. :((

But what about the rest of the modules, like VIRTUEMART and JA NEWS? Is these modules for Joomla 1.0.13 or 1.5?

You’ll have to check with VirtueMart, but I’m pretty sure JA News doesn’t however will soon.

I have become member only for JA Larix but not I got only 1.0.x compitable, but when I asked by mail that it i swork on joomla1.5 or not your reply was yes it is. so why there have no any template for 1.5, I tried to upload it but it is not working.
if slide show is not working then why ur operator didn’t tell me on that time? send me 1.5 one

I also wait for Larix to “fully” support 1.5.. with Virtuemart and with the quickstart installer before i renew my membership.

I don’t want to piss the developers off because i think they make really good templates but the reson to why people get angry i sprobably because it says “fulle supports” on some templates.. and to later find out that the slideshow isn’t working and that VM probably will later after people have bought a membership expecting everything to work is disappointing ofcourse.

From the Larix page:

I know hard work is being done to make all templates supporting 1.5 but until then i’d suggest removing the “fully supports” from the template info.

We are hard working to make all our template “fully supports” 1.5. However, we get some difficulty with templates which use Virtuemart component. But we are trying to make them work and they must be released.

I know you’re working hard and i appreciate it… personally i can wait for them 😉
I just wanted to point out that as long as they aren’t ready it shouldn’t say they “fully support 1.5” since people can get annoyed and angry when they find out they aren’t.
Better to write “soon fully 1.5 support” or something.

I too joined to get the Larix template. The slide show and features look great. It is deceptive to say fully compatible when it doesn’t work. Many features don’t and the quickstart isn’t there. Obviously instructions are hard to find because it doesnm’t work. I wouldn’t renew and may ask Visa for money back.
