Also confused since the site releases shows Uber as the October template. Are you saying a revised template became the November template? Uber being October and Uber 2,0 as the November release? Please tell me I am mistaken….

What for, Teline V? It was never promised until recently. To be fair, Teline IV was updated to J2.5/J3.x and also made responsive with T3. I agree though, it has been a long time since JA released a specific news template to live up to the Teline name. Hopefully the devs can pull the rabbit out of the hat very soon.

It’s not a debate. Merely pointing out we are missing a template release. That’s just my opinion of course, which as a member I am entitled to. Like it or not.

You are saying that the release for October, in place of the Travel template was Uber 1.0. Fine, and totally understandable given the explanations in other postings. At the same time the travel portfolio was to be released for November. In November it was delayed “indefinitely” and Uber 2.0 was released.

While I commend the developers on continuing to improve existing templates and in keeping with a focus on solving existing issues with templates, I can’t see where this fix/upgrade/improvement should be accepted as a “new” monthly release. It’s a re-release of the previous months template.

The membership I have is for a monthly template release. I am not a developer. Uber it can be debated is not a template but yet another framework. I am not critiquing the project or the motivation, just pointing out the facts. In asking for an updated release schedule, given the ongoing release schedule changes stated in several forums, I am just seeking to confirm that I should expect another template, something other than Uber 3.0 in the upcoming schedule.

I am sure you are aware that many members are expecting a release of Teline V in the not too distant future. Teline IV was released Dec 2010, whereas Uber 1.0 release is October and Uber 2.0 is November 2014.

I understand you are aware of the comments and criticisms made throughout the forums as a Moderator and since you are often a part of the ongoing discussions. Perhaps you can make it clear to the developers that this is not acceptable for a template club. While I appreciate all the work that goes into a “framework”, those same frameworks should enable Joomlart template developers to come up with great templates every month, not just new versions of the same thing.

Again, Tom, I am trying to remain respectful and understand your position as a moderator, but I am not here to “debate” with you or any other moderator. I am here to make comments and hopefully get answers from the Team or other members. If I am in the wrong forum then by all means please direct me to the correct thread.

You are absolutely entitled to your comments, opinions and constructive criticism – and such is always welcomed.

However, I believe – at this point – you’ve voiced such in relation to the issue of the October/November releases and, as such, continuing on isn’t really going to change the situation as it is. I am quite certain that the JA Development Team will continue to read through this thread – and your voiced comments/concerns – and will address the issue appropriately at some point in the near future . . . as they have in the past under similar circumstances.
