I wonder how many other Joomlart members would like to see a template that works basically something like this:

I’m not referring to the coloration or shading, but the FUNCTIONALITY of having ONLY small tabs across the top representing Sections, with the Category links dynamically appearing in the small horizontal bar beneath the tabs. That is extremely functional and user-friendly, IMHO.

I’m guessing that a few of us don’t want the standard huge, space-wasting eye-candy headers taking up the top third of every screen.

Note also that the Content FILLS the remainder of the screen, without the huge (wasted) spaces between columns and menus and around the borders that tend to predominate in Joomlart templates.
I want lots of space for my Content to shine, and wish that the all the rest (menus, footers, etc.) to be VERY unobtrusive, to fade into the background, leaving the Content to dominate.

How about something for those who Think Different? 😉

You’re right! That’s close enough to be worth hacking into.
Just need to get rid of the header, shrink the tabs and the dropline vertically and it will be darn close. Then I’ll need to hack a full, 100% wide fluid layout (like this page: http://www.apple.com/iphone ).
