i just installed Nuevo quickstart.
why my site’s homepage is different with the live demo shows?
how can i make my homepage looks same to the demo one? (including the multilingual -chinese and english)

Hello

You will need to install the quickstart package version, which contains Joomla plus template with sample data ( demo version ) , follow template documentation HERE

Hello

Yes this is the correct approach at temlplate settings

Regarding footer background you can use a new file ( custom.css ) you will need to create it from scratch, and add your customizations there, in this way you will avoid to apply customizations in template updates.
