October 1, 2009 at 4:22 pm #319297Wasn’t Teline III released in September?
And this one is looking like it’s just about ready.Honestly, don’t some of you have anything to do in your lives other than drool over your calendars with your trigger finger itching to write a “where is it” post? Seriouosly … go outside, take a walk, feed some ducks, ride a bike.

October 1, 2009 at 4:44 pm #319300t3 was release in August. Honestly, don’t you fanboys have anything better to do then wait till someone posts with a legit concern so you can bash them? Go , take a walk, feed some ducks, take a long bike ride off a short pier.

I’m pretty sure it’s more about expecting a service you paid for to be delivered on the terms they set.
If the terms were: For $X dollars you will get 12 templates in a 12 month period.
However that’s not what we all paid for and it’s great that you are relaxed about getting templates whenever they have time to release them. That’s not the case for everyone else, they expect the service they paid for and were promised.
If you don’t like these types of threads, don’t waste your time making these types of posts because honestly, you are doing exactly what you are bitching about.
I know you can be the bigger man and ignore these types of threads – be a trend setter, not part of the problem.

October 1, 2009 at 5:25 pm #319308So over a week late? What, exactly, have the customers gotten in exchange for fewer templates each month?
I just can’t understand why
a) Joomlart can’t manage to meet its obligations to its customers.
b) Joomlart can’t even bother to communicate with customers. Wouldn’t a professional company have notified users in advance that they were going to fail to meet another deadline?
c) Joomlart can’t manage to meet its obligations to existing customers, but keeps adding new for-profit projects, despite not providing support for existing customers.
I set aside the weekend to work on my site, using the framework of the new template. A professional company would have at least notified users in this forum which is designed to communicate with customers about yet another delay.
Is that too much to ask, Tom? Meeting obligations and communicating with customers? I think not.

So you have used every single template that has ever been released from JA – as soon as it comes out?

Both mcfphil and drarvindc have now notified you of the delay – isn’t that what you wanted?
Hung provided a preview of Halite about two weeks ago.
And as for October’s template . . . it’s only October 1.

Right, for which Hung provided a preview two weeks ago and for which both yourself and drarvindc have provided notice – and apology – for the delay. These kinds of threads pop up like clockwork (usually from the “usual suspects”) on the 1st or 2nd of each month – and, more often than not, JA ends up delivering the templates within reasonable time frames and/or with reasonable explanations for the delay (as was the case with the very involved Teline III).
What ever happened to the virtues of patience and constructive inquiry?

[/quote]Yes, we do apologize for the delay. mfcphil has already forwarded his apologies on behalf of JA. I would have given the reasons for the delay, but i am pretty sure they wont be heard, as has happened before (not intended to you please). Be assured of 12 templates for 12 months. If you are near expiry of your subscription let me know. I shall make sure you get the 13th template for free.
So over a week late? What, exactly, have the customers gotten in exchange for fewer templates each month?
The announcement for change in number on template release per month was made on 08-08-2008, 11:13 PM and it was to take effect from
From August of 2009 – JoomlArt will release 1 template per month.
Read the announcement HERE.
Stop cribbing about it. The announcement was made and took effect 1 year after it. All the JATC membership are on annual basis. If you joined in between, then you were well informed of the changes. The thread was about the status of Sept template and that was promptly replied along with apologies.
You have all the rights to express displeasure, and all such replies would be respected, but infighting and coming up with undue posts will be removed.
Besides, October would be worth waiting for 1-2 new plugins, which would be provided free to the members and i am sure everyone will find them very useful for their sites.
Also, hope you all have read this new announcement regarding Bug reporting System. That’s a step JA took to allow users to contribute to better and stable products.
Arvind.

October 1, 2009 at 7:17 pm #319330BigSky;147201 but keeps adding new for-profit projects, despite not providing support for existing customers.
Let me clarify this :
- All the new projects (JA Voice / JA Job Board), have totally different and independent Developer Team. All these new projects are independent Business Models.
- Be assured that Joomla Template development is not hampered because of new projects.
- Please provide links to your support threads which were unanswered. Make sure, you have also raised Support tickets for the same, incase they were unanswered in the forum. Also, if you have provided all the required info for such support request.
The bottom line is , yes JA did not release template within the scheduled month and we are sorry and JA is covering up on delays. Delay is lesser this month and would be on time next month.
I am saying this coz October Template Design is ready and will undergo development once the remaining issues are resolved for the JA Halite.
If you guys can spare some minutes, you are requested to judge and vote for the September SOTM, we need to reach the minimum of 50 votes so that winners can be announced.
Arvind.

October 1, 2009 at 9:36 pm #319343Thanks mfcphil,
If you would not have attended to this misbehaviour and deleted the post, i would have banned the person. I have warned him for the same via PM. We respect the displeasure and expression of views, but personal attacks and undue expression of anger will not be tolerated.
We have tried to give maximum information and that too quite promptly, as we equally understand and respect the feelings of fellow members.
