When a Joomla! powered site is offline, usually the Joomla! logo visible on that page, because the site owners/maintainers aren’t aware of its replacement would be needed. I think of the customization of file /templates/system/offline.php and the replacement of /images/joomla_logo_black.jpg

It would be great if you added this customization to the framework options to be able to change the image and the look of the offline page.

HI,
Thank you for your suggestion. After the Development Team will finish updating the templates for Joomla! 1.6, they will have to work on improving the framework. This is likely to be an improvement to consider.
