okay, if i remove or unpublish the sample banner from the main menu, it somehow locks my menu bar, it wont do the dropdown menu after removing the sample banner from the main menu??

and if i try to remove the banner from all pages in In “Module link for this menu item” its kinda the same problem ??

can someone please help me with that, stuck with this for an hour ..

i also tried removing the image inside Mega Banner module, and just leave it blank…
but that also make the same error….

and same error if i make the sample banner access level for speciel only…

University tempalte has no position to have a banner ad as its responsive if you put anything in the header area it kills the responsive nature of the site put it in a module position

ok, i just made a new installation on http://www.rl-rfk.dk
as you can see under pages there is a sample banner 200 x 200
if i try to unpublish or remove it, the drop down menu wont work

Ok it’s a mega menu item called sample banner, My apologies the word banner misled me just go to the pages section of the menu find the menu item sample banner and disable I have just done this loacally and it works without problems on the latest fresh install of JA University menus still drop down fine and no image block appears in pages menu as seen in the screenie

that is so wierd

If I disable the sample banner the drop down menues wont work …..
this must be some kind of bug ?

i disabled it right now on http://www.rl-rfk.dk does it work for you ?

As you say most wierd, Let’s try some of the normal responses, can I get you to try some small things 1 at a time?

In you administrator backend go to global configuration/SEO SETTINGS and set the items highlighted in first screenie to the same settings I am using please. Please save, refresh Jat3 cache, preview site again and test. Does the menu now dropdown?

If not return to admin/template manager and select the university template, then go through and turn the Optimize CSS & Optimise JS to none (OFF). Set Optimize folder to t3 assets as per the second screenshot Please save, refresh Jat3 cache, preview site again and test. Does the menu now dropdown? ‘screenie ‘part 2’

Looking at your site source code, I see mootools is not loading nor is k2 and many other items please look at screenshot part 3 your source code before doing the things I have requested& screenshot part 4 my site source code. note the highlighted code? This seems to be the difference, no mootools etc.

Ok it’s after 4 am at my timezone I must go to bed. I hope these tests may resolve your issue If not perhaps a support ticket must be raised

after setting Optimize JS to off the souce code is back, loading mootools, k2, …
but still no drop down menu ..
ill raise a ticket.

okay, i moved the order on 2 other menues, and somehow it works now.. i have no idea what i did 🙂

Very strange indeed but I’m glad it now works for you. TIP: Leave the menus pretty much standard for now 😀
