Is it OK to upload the new files for those of us using pollux 1.5.3 from joomla.org?

July 16, 2008 at 7:18 pm #260289I usually DUMP the entire database via phpmyadmin and copy all files into a BACKUP folder on the server so I could just move them back over if necassary.
I’m just wondering if anyone else has done it yet.
I prefer to do an upgrade as they come out and not do QUICK START again as many of us have made changes and edits to certain files through assistance on these forums that would not be reflected in a QUICKSTART re-download in my experience.
I quiver everytime a new UPDATE is released.

July 16, 2008 at 7:22 pm #260292In basic, no harm to upgrade to the latest. Just do it, and let us know how it went out? The only thing that might not work later on is a module or some part of the menu.

You saying that just concerns me more, OK. I will keep you folks posted as I wish someone else would do if I were looking. Maybe in a week or so.

July 28, 2008 at 1:56 pm #262720Well, I have not gotten 1.5.4 installed yet but now I see Joomla! 1.5.5 is Released. Anyone made the move yet? Any issues with the template?
I’m hoping to update a backup install today.
