Everything was fine and beautiful till i moved this site from the public_html/dev folder to the /public_html/ folder to make the site live. That is when the slideshow and slidenews stopped displaying.

What i’ve narrowed it down to is a Caching problem. You see if you clean out the cache and purge the expired through Joomla admin panel and then view the site – the modules work. If you refresh, they disappear. Clean out the cache and they’re right back.

http://www.redhorseprotection.com – anyone have ANY ideas?!

Serious issues with cacheing… anyone have any ideas?! I turned on all caching and the images stay up for the time limit, but after 15 mins, they’re gone. This is ridiculous.

I have sure an issue to with this. But my problem is that the discription texts ar disappearing. They simply don’t show up anymore.

I mean this:

Here is the discription …

Even worse, refreshing or changing / setting the caching again, seems not to be a solution for me. In the beginning after te install of the JA-TIRIS template, this was not a problem. My images still working at this moment, strange ….>:(

My client DEFINITELY cares. As do I. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I just dont know why moving the site out of a subfolder makes that big of difference. (yes the config is updated)

I’ve also this problem after upgrading the site. I upload the administrator, cache, cli, components and includes maps again from the quickstart to my host. It works fine now.

Can you please give a more detailed step-by-step list of what you did?

1. Download the quickstart file from the tiris template
2. unzip this file
3. upload/rewrite the maps: administrator, cache, cli, components and includes to your existing site

This solution works for my site. My slideshow is stable now.

I’ve reuploaded the module itself, but i haven’t done the whole site.

My Fix.

Terminate the account on my VPS. Saving all of my image files and the .sql db
Recreate the account on my VPS.
Reupload an entire quickstart install from scratch.
Import & Sync to my old db.
Reinstall all components, modules, plugins
Re-edit all files that were previously wrote or overwritten.

Site is back to normal. …. for now.
