When on my main site, all the icons work well, except for the About Us graphic, which is right next to the Module. It sends to the article, but there is no scroll button and when you hit X to close, it doesn’t bring you back to the site. You just sit there.
I’ve checked the back end and it’s setup in Social just like the other icons/articles. What could be causing this?
The site is http://www.Evansflorida.com.

September 27, 2013 at 6:18 am #507262Hi extra12,
By default, the close button (X) and scroll-bar will appear on the popup layout view of article only, not default Joomla article layout view. Visitors will need to use the browser scroll bar to see the below content of article.
The About us is Single Article menu item which only displays the article content with default Joomla article layout. That is why the buttons are different with the grid items/modules on homepage.

Thanks for the response. However, there is no scroll bar for About Us. Each of the other icons, takes you to a page and functions like it should, however this one does not. It gives no way to scroll or get back to the site. (Even when you click the X it doesn’t allow you to go back.)
The only icon that does this is the icon picture next to the masshead. Every other icon works properly and even accessing About Us from the menu works fine.
I’m not sure what to do as it is set-up the exact way every other item is. It’s http://www.EvansFlorida.com is the site so you can see how it acts.

September 30, 2013 at 2:45 am #507440Hi xtra12,
I just cleared the cache of RSForm component and sh404sef plugin, the scroll bar on About us item appears on the popup view now.
But, it seems that the Fixel Category blog layout was changed dramatically on your website so that it can cause some unpredictable problems. On thing you can see that the url alias is appearing on the grid item layouts of some items (About us …). Just pay attention to these.
September 30, 2013 at 2:29 pm #507553Leo,
Thanks for the reply. Also, how do you mean the Fixel Category Blog layout was changed dramatically? The only thing I changed, at least intentionally, was the order. Did something else get changed that needs to get back?
Also, I just checked the site and the About Us is still having the same problems. Is SH404SEF causing the About Us to act like this?

October 1, 2013 at 1:27 am #507588Hi xtra12,
You can try to clear sh404sef cache in Site >> Maintenance. Then check out the About us item again.

Is SH404SEF causing the About Us to act like this?

Not sure totally, because the cache of sh404sef is also related to the System – Cache plugin of Joomla. Anyways, you also can try to order the field of System – Cache to LAST (largest number in order). Then clear System cache like above mention.
how do you mean the Fixel Category Blog layout was changed dramatically?

The reason that i see the About is loading the full layout (mainnav, body, footer) on the popup view, instead of only the mainbody containing the article content as usual.October 1, 2013 at 2:49 am #507596Leo, Thanks for the response. I cleared the cache, but it didn’t help. I went to create a new article that I was just going to re-type to replace my About article as it is acting odd, but now it seems I can’t even create an article. I received this error when I went to the new article screen.
Got error 28 from storage engine SQL=SELECT a.id AS value, a.title AS text, a.level, a.published FROM srbd2_categories AS a LEFT JOIN `srbd2_categories` AS b ON a.lft > b.lft AND a.rgt < b.rgt WHERE (a.extension = ‘com_content’) AND a.published IN (0,1) GROUP BY a.id, a.title, a.level, a.lft, a.rgt, a.extension, a.parent_id, a.published ORDER BY a.lft ASC
UPDATE: I used admin tools to fix the database and was able to create a new About Us article. I have used this article to replace the other one and now it seems to be working fine. I just wish I knew what caused this odd behavior in case it happens again. I don’t know why in the world the About article was acting different than all the rest. It was configured the same.
