Hi Everyone

I would like to build a site for a ‘online food store’.

This would consist of products in multiple categories, for example:

Meat Products
Dairy Products
Pasta and Rice
Baking Products
Tinned Goods
Indian Food
Chinese Food
Mexican Food
Sauces and Seasonings
Snacks and Biscuits
Alcoholic Beverages
Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Each category should have ‘thumbnail’ and ‘detail’ view of each item.

Shopping cart is a must! Also, payment via PayPal is the preferred methods.

Can anybody tell me which template would be the best starting point for this?

I think i would start with JA-Erica, with some design modifications ofcourse.
When you say shopping cart we talk about virtuemart,right?
Then use the extensions from ja-mesolite.

But at the end, this would be my choise…

Thanks for that, I’m just loading the Erica demo site now!

To be honest, I’ve got no idea, I’ve never done a ‘shopping cart’ before!! Basically I just want to click on ‘add to cart’ for various items and then ‘checkout via PayPal’ when shopping is finished!!

I’ll check out the virtuemart stuff and see if that does the job. By the way, JoomSuite are launching a ‘commerce’ extension this month some time, I may check that out too!
