Hi all,
Ja Teline II for Joomal 1.5 is loading very slow only in internet explorer v6-7… I tested it with Firefox and Opera browsers too. The loading results are very fast. But internet explorer is waiting too much to open the front page. Firefox and Opera is not waiting and opening the page. I read too much threads in the forums but couldn’t find any solution. What causes this template is opening slow only with internet explorer? Can you fix this problem with internet explorer???

Test Specs:
Joomla Version 1.5.9
JA Teline II for joomla 1.5 – Version 1.6
server: 127.0.0.1-http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_teline_ii/ and various hostings tested
Installed modules: Only Ja Teline II extensions
Browsers: Internet Explorer v6&v7, Firefox 3.0.5, Opera v9.6.1

After my first post I disabled all plugins, menus, modules and everything. But the page was still loading very slow in internet explorer. If I use Firefox and Opera its loading normally. Then I checked the index.php file of the Ja Teline II template. There was a javascript code :/highslide/swfobject.js. If I delete these lines the page is loading properly and fast in internet explorer.

The code block is below:

Have you any solution to fix this. We have to use this script but these code lines cause the long loading in internet explorer. There are milions of users that use the ie6 and ie7.

I deleted line 38 from ja teline II index.php but still nothing happened. I mean only a javascript error notice gone from internet explorer but its loading very slow again.
I did this:
line 38 (line to delete):
<script language=”javascript” type=”text/javascript” src=”<?php echo $tmpTools->templateurl(); ?>/highslide/swfobject.js”></script>

Have you any idea?

Hi,
I have the same problem with my site loading slow in IE. If JA can correct this, please let me know what you find. Telline ll loads faster in Mozilla FF, but when using IE it’s very slow. I also get an Error from IE on the bottom of the browser window after the page loads, “Done but with errors on page”.

Not sure if these two problems are related though.

hi again,
The main reason is the All Videos Reloaded module and plugin. If I disable these two extension, the webpage is loading more faster, if I enable its going slower again. Changing the module will be loaded on which menu item did not find any solution. I mean I tried to show this module on second menu item instead of home, but nothing changed. Coz the main problem is there are javascripts loading in the header section. These javascripts are loading first then the contents and other things loading. I have seen the following javascripts:
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”/ja_teline_ii/media/system/js/mootools.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”/ja_teline_ii/media/system/js/caption.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”/ja_teline_ii/plugins/content/avreloaded/swfobject.js”></script>

etc…I uploaded the newest version of All Videos Reloaded componet but nothing has changed. Some website experts suggesting this:

“Put your css codes to the top and javascripts to the BOTTOM in your index.php for the faster loadings”… Thats a good idea but I couldn’t find how will I put my javascript codes that located in the header to the bottom before the last </body> tag in Joomla 1.5.

Maybe anyone can find a solution…
Now I disabled this module and plugin and not using till find a solution. Coz search engines robots are not caching this type slow loading websites or very late caching…

people, i have the same problem using IE but if I use Mozilla the site open faster (a few second).
– I desabled all modules from the main page and I spent the same time (a lt of time)
– I deleted line 38 from ja teline II index.php but still nothing happened

I don´t now what is the problem and why using Mozzila the site open faster
