    Hi!
Have tried to search for this, but couldn’t find a thread that had exact this problem.

On my frontpage I want to use Zaragoza Latest News module so it shows the latest new in a number of categories in the left position, and in the right position I have a module showing a photo after my choice. But as I can see, the menu item “HOME” needs a menu-type, and wether I choose one article ore category blog it turns up in the middle insert, between left and right position. Any idea how I can remove the middle inset on my frontpage?

I was thinking remove or set the middle inset to width “0” in the default layout, and setting the left and right position to “50” each. And assign this layout to homepage only. I tried this, but god some kind of error.
It’s not any other way or meny-type I can choose, to now have the middle inset visible??

I don’t have Rave so if you want you take all this with a pinch of salt but……

It looks like the middle section is the main content so you can always use page assignments and profiles to do this (if it is the same as the latest 2.5 templates).

Copy your default profile and call it for example ‘front-page’. Set in Global Settings for the main content block to hide e.g. ‘hide main content block’ to yes and pick the front page profile. On the left in page assignments pick the menü for this i.e. home-page and match it to the front-page profile.

Make sure that for all the other pages you pick default and set default profile to have ‘hide main content block’ to no.

If it is like other JA templates then this will solve your front page problem! Hope it’s clear enough…;)

    Hi!
This worked! BUT… Since I only want the main content to hide on the frontpage, I copied the template and saved it with a new name. Then I made the changes in the new template, called “Home” and assigned the home menu to it. I made a new layout, called left-right and under profiles and desktop layouts I sat the profiel to left-right. However, when I did this in the “Home” template, the standard template also got the same changes?? I haven’t seen this before, as it usually save only it self, not also “the brother”. Do you understand what I mean? :-[ any ideas what I can do?

Could I for example upload the template again, in a new name??? If so, how can I change it so it uploads in an other template-name?

    Hi monalh

Sorry perhaps I did not make it clear for you. You do not need to have a second template – you can do all this with one.

In your profiles you can have many. Like colours for example or in your case you need two. One called default for all pages of the site and a second called front-page just for the front page. This front-page one does not allow the main content block to show. Default is as normal. Please see the pictures here.

Then you must on the left hand side assign these profiles for the pages.

    See my example here

So, only on the front page – “Home” menü – does this front-page profile with no main content work. All the other pages as you can see take the default profile which allows the main content to show.

I hope this is clearer for you now and that it is also what you want!! 😀
