We’re literally scratching our heads. I have a site using Kulanite running on J! 1.5.14
We have had a company perform some extensive SEO and Marketing for the site but they can only get the home page indexed and ranked on Google. We are clutching at straws as to what could be wrong and are eliminating one thing at a time, so I’d like to know if anyone else has this issue using this template? I have posted over at the J! forums also, like I say we are eliminating everything.
Any help really appreciated!

If you don’t already you should have a google webmaster tools account. This will give you information on what is listed, what is not and if there are any problems spidering your site.

August 25, 2009 at 7:01 pm #315249Well a quick look over site I would say I don’t see any extensive SEO done. You have articles that don’t have descriptions, keywords and titles are standard. This however would not stop any pages from being “indexed”.
You’re front page has a PR ranking of 2 which is easily enough PR to index your entire site. A pr0 page will give you 200 pages able to be indexed. If the site is “new” I would make sure you have a site map submitted via Google webmaster tools and check diagnosis section for any errors.
Look at your robots file and make sure you don’t have any *dissallow settings to any areas you want indexed. If you have someone doing “promotion” for you, or you have bought into the 10000 “link back” packages someone may have used black hat techniques and got you penalized as well.
