    When I view my site in IE7, I only see the top menu and that’s it. When I view the site in Firefox or Chrome, the site appears fine. Any ideas?

    The problem…. MS Word.

    You have an AMAZING amount of Gobbldy-Gook code added by MS Word. This will create havoc with your site. When copying from Word first paste into Notepad then from Notepad to your Joomla editor. This will stop the excess gunk from winding up on your site and mucking up the works.

    FYI if it helps figure out which article is the culprit, the MS Word code starts here

    <blockquote><h4 class=”jazin-title”><a href=”/property-crimes-unit/decapite-guilty-of-armed-robbery.php” class=”ja-newstitle” title=”Decapite Guilty of Armed Robbery”>Decapite Guilty of Armed Robbery</a></h4>
    <img src=”/images/resized/images/stories/steven decapite sm photo_60_75.png” alt=”Decapite Guilty of Armed Robbery” align=”left” /> <meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=utf-8″ />
    <meta name=”ProgId” content=”Word.Document” />
    <meta name=”Generator” content=”Microsoft Word 12″ />
    <meta name=”Originator” content=”Microsoft Word 12″ />
    <link rel=”File-List” href=”file:///C:DOCUME~1KBURKE~1.DAOLOCALS~1Tempmsohtmlclip11clip_filelist.xml” />
    <link rel=”themeData” href=”file:///C:DOCUME~1KBURKE~1.DAOLOCALS~1Tempmsohtmlclip11clip_themedata.thmx” />
    <link rel=”colorSchemeMapping” href=”file:///C:DOCUME~1KBURKE~1.DAOLOCALS~1Tempmsohtmlclip11clip_colorschememapping.xml” /></blockquote>

    Story seems to start here… Steven Decapite, 25, of Warner Robins, was found guilty by a jury today of armed robbery, multiple counts of burglary and theft crimes

    Next story with the offending code is here… /property-crimes-unit/dvd-pirate-gets-prison-time

    Seems to end after that but there may be more… that is just what I see on the front page. You will need to check all of your articles for MS Word gunk.

    Hope this helps some.

    Thank you! I didn’t realize some people had pasted text from word.

    Sometimes it gets tough with multiple users. You want to plant sticky notes on everyone reminding them not to paste directly from Word :p
