I think the moomenu script needs to be updated to deal with with IE8 (issue doesn’t effect IE7).

The opacity of the submenu is such that you can’t read the text because the background color of the submenu is dropped right out. This is not specific to my site, you can see this behavior on the demo site as well.

How can I correct this? I know that ultimately the script has to be updated in the theme file, but until that’s done, how do know what mootools script to use, and how do I replace the existing one?

Edit: this only happens to be a problem on 1 machine (why, I have no idea). It appears IE8 on another machine does not have the same opacity problem. Unless someone has a suggestion as to why it would affect only 1 install of IE8 (bare install), consider this closed
