November 19, 2010 at 11:51 am #156594Hello,
I find that this template provides strong slowdowns on the site since its installation in relation to other
tests:
* Remove all modules (advertisements, functions …): it has very little impact on the results of speed
* Enabling the cache: same
* Development Mode Enable: on no
* Optimize Optimize CSS and JS: on join & & compress minify
* Removal of tools templates
* Gzip page compression enabled in global configuration in admin
* Hebergement: I have other sites on the same accommodation and they go much faster
* Ioncube installed: is it that this may be related?
* Unnecessary plugin disabled
* Unnecessary modules disabled
* Speed test give me problems on:

Do you see ways to improve things?

November 23, 2010 at 4:54 am #363822Beside:
1) Do not use any images linking from other websites
2) Do not so many web-service on your site, If your site is using some service such us twitter, face book like, RSS…etc, you should use all cache functions of the module
3) You should optimize all tables in the joomla database: re-index, http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/websiteperformance/joomla15.htmPeter Matra FriendPeter Matra

November 25, 2010 at 8:52 pm #364291I agree with georgio. The speed of the template is slow. It is bothersome but I have managed to speed it up doing the things you mentioned above. When I spoke to HostGator the said when the page loads it is using 99% of my CPU which is ridiculous since my clients’ sites are all small and I only have a few on this server.
I have integrated J!WHMCS which bridges Joomla and WHMCS. I had a bunch of problems setting it up but it works well now. J!WHMCS is available at gohigheris.com
Feel free to check out my site. I haven’t implemented any K2 content, but plan to in the net few days.
my site is nyhostingsolutions.com

November 25, 2010 at 9:18 pm #364299How do you find the speed on the test I have setup here – http://www.windsurf.me.uk/test/
According to yslow I am getting a grade C, not bad IMO and I have not optomised it much at all yet. I’ve looked at the logs and my resource usage is only marginally higher than the same site with a different template seen here – http://www.windsurf.me.uk/
I doo agree there is a difference but it is not huge for such a complex template.egotfrid Friendegotfrid

December 14, 2010 at 10:35 pm #366792As was noted in another thread, the solution for making this template run faster, oddly, is to turn off the Optimize CSS and JS in the template manager. Site will load SO much faster.
