What is the optimum size to make the images for articles.

I like the way the template resizes the images for all the different layouts. But notice that some of them have black bars, probably becuase thay are not the right proportions.

Does the intro image need to be a different size to the full article image?

Have looked everywhere for the answer.

In our demo, we are using 1400×820 images. You can use this image size for your site

Thanks – is this for intro image AND main article image?

This is size of main article image.

For the intro, we use the 900×450 images
