September 7, 2013 at 5:33 pm #190377Hi,
How can I order the articles and the module on the home page in position home-1?
I know I can order the modules by using grid. But when I have article AND modules on the page then the articles are spread between the modules…
What I’m trying to achieve is to have 5 modules first and only then the articles start.
Any ideas?
Thanks

September 9, 2013 at 8:45 am #505058Hi jaforum,
On the JA Fixel homepage layout, we do define the grid position which helps users to display the modules in desired order. You can go to Module class suffix in Advanced options of module backend. And put the text grid-pos-x into.
i.e: The Slideshow module at 1st position, the class suffix will be:
grid-3×2 grid-pos-1 slideshow
>> The red text is the grid position order of module.

September 10, 2013 at 2:37 am #505158Hi all,
I missed to explain about article order on JA Fixel homepage. The order of articles will depend on the Article order setting in Layout options of menu item (i.e Home).
October 4, 2013 at 8:17 pm #508051Hi, i’m claudio and i try to apply the solution that you gave as, but i don’t understand where is the “Advanced options of module backend” sorry 🙂

October 5, 2013 at 5:44 am #508072Hi Claudio,
It seems that this is the first time you work with Joomla CMS. Anyways, just take it easy. I have attached two snapshots of module backend interface on both Joomla 3.x and Joomla 2.5, so that you can find the Advanced Options easily.
– Joomla 2.5.x
– Joomla 3.x

October 6, 2013 at 3:12 am #508109Hi soluzionismart,
The texts in my recent snapshots maybe make you wrong. Sorry, that is just a sample module backend. The module class suffix should be grid-2×2 , not grid2x2.

October 18, 2013 at 9:05 pm #509544I am new at this but tried this setting before I could get the order to work. Now it finally works. The above setting did not do it for me.
