i am trying to sort items by some crieria but i dont see that sorting, before the user presses “search”

So by default there is an ordering (which i want to change) and if someone tries to search without using any field, just press search, only then items appear at the ordering i want?

How can i make the order i want. I think that may the issue come from the fact that these items i have now are not at the same category but at subcategories, and this may cause any problem.

To update item ordering of the first view (before searching), you can follow one of options below:

– If your menu item type is “JA K2 Filter >> itemlist”, you need to open Configuration form of JA K2 filter (in Back-end >> Components >> JA K2 filter >> click on Options button on toolbar to open Configuariton form)

Then open the “Search Result Item Layout” tab, you can see the field “Item ordering”, updating its setting can help to change item ordering.

– If your menu item type is “K2 >> Categories”, you can find the same setting in K2 configuration form.
