Is it a matter of just updating the JA Plugin to the latest version that will work with 1.7 or are there template modifications that need to be made to the Ores template to work with 1.7 (upgrading from 1.6.5)?

Hey,

Long time. We are still testing the templates and will start rolling them out soon. Regarding your question there is no answer yet. May be you can wait while we get it all sorted out. You can in the meanwhile update to J 1.6.6 which is a security fix release.

You can update your template version to latest released >> http://www.joomlart.com/updates/14-more-joomla-club-template-updated-to-j-165-bug-fixes-one-step-closer-to-joomla-17-releases

for now all i can say is JA Social, JA Teline IV, JA Teline III, Portfolio will be the last to roll out as they use alot of extensions and would need more time to test.

I just got it to work, I just needed to apply the T3 Plugin update. I tried updating to J 1.7 the other week before the new beta plugin had been released which was what the problem was.

The hotfix for T3 plugin works and most of 1.6 templates will work for J 1.7 by default. As a added precaution we are not officially announcing J 1.7 support unless we make sure that things are in place.
