I’m having big problems with our page load times at http://www.deepripples.com (averaging 7.1 seconds as of June 19th). The speed issues started when we changed over the template to Ores, and we’ve been unable to improve upon it (even with caching). Have you had any other issues with this, or can you help us troubleshoot how to better optimize the template for a faster page (we’re not using anything complicated).

Running the site through a analyzer the results suggest turning compression on may help, turn gzip on in the global config

Try here: http://loadimpact.com/ they load up the site to simulate multiple connections

I’d use both these with your site and then try JA demo version of Ores etc to compare
