When you many articles in a category then the list will span over several pages. But at the bottom the navigation for this is missing. It just says page 1 of 3 but the actual links are missing. How can I get them active? See attached picture for more explanation.

    Hi wilero

I could not find this issue in our template.

Could you please send me your live url, admin account via PM so that i could have a closer look on the issue?

    Hi wilero

    Thank you for your PM.

I checked this item and saw that the Pagination in Parameters (Advanced) tab is Hide. I changed to Show.
Now, Page navigation at bottom is showing.

    Please kindly check again.

    Hello!

The setting mentioned above is on the actual menu item. If you open your menu item and look to the right, you will see the diffrent parameters you can apply to that menu. There you also find “Parameters (Advanced)”. I attached a picture to display the option better. I hope this will solve your problem. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Best Regards

    Certainly ๐Ÿ™‚

If you login to backend of your Joomla homepage, and then go to Menu and select the menu that contains the menu item which lead to the page that is missing pagination. Click on the menu item, and you will find the parameters to the right. Click to expand the advanced parameters. Look at the picture I have attached to illustrate it, I hope that will make it more clear ๐Ÿ™‚

Oops, we must have posted almost at the same time…I missed your additional question. I think the JPAGE_CURRENT_OF_TOTAL is not related to the template itself. It seems to happen on sites that has additional languages installed. The phrase has no corresponding translation in the additional language. See this thread for more info http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=1916996

If there is no newer translation for your language, you can do it yourself by inserting the following sentence to your language .ini file:
    JPAGE_CURRENT_OF_TOTAL = page %s of %s

and translate “page … of … ” to whatever you like

If you don’t want to mess with the .ini-files I have a tip. One really useful tool I recently started to use, since I always need to translate plugins to Swedish, is Translation Manager. Itโ€™s a really handy tool to get hold of all phrases on your homepage and also translate them. Download from here, and install in back-end.
    http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languages/multi-lingual-content/1776

Access it from Component –> Translation Manager
Check the language you wish to translate, and click on โ€œView Filesโ€ in the toolbar. You will then get a long list. For changing the phrase you asked about, you will first check โ€œSiteโ€ and your language, click View Files, and then open the first file in the list โ€œCoreโ€. Around row 76 you should find the phrase you should translate. If itโ€™s not there, there are options at the bottom to add new phrases to the file. (look at attached picture :))

This is also a setting on the menu item, under Parameters (component) you will find “Show navigation”. I think the default global setting is No, therefor it is not showing up as default. (see attachment).
