Can you post your site URL so I can take a look please?

Do you mean the real ‘front page’ (main story and the 4 small ones to the right), or the main stories from each section that publish on the front page lower down?

Top five stories don’t need ‘read more’ break, but the others below do.

Hope I can help some more!

I am curious as to what you want to do. when you say “page break” you mean in the Home page?

Or, do you mean, the page break does not work in the full article when it is included in the “frontpage”. If it is the latter, what happens if you do not place it in the frontpage, and just keep it in its regular section-category?

As suggested by Chris, please provide links for examples needed. Joomla version, provide URL of your site, etc. Without these information, everything else is speculation.

This could be a problem with the ‘content’ rather than anything else.

Try go to Admin – Article Manager and make another 5 articles front page (not the Joomla ones) to replace the current ones and take another look. You may then have to go to Front Page Manger and make the new articles the top 5 (get rid of this horrible Joomla articles, use the ones from Life and Style!).

Let me know if this helps

    Hi bendikbygstad,

“Page break” markup should not be done in the text that appears in the Intro text of the Front Page

I am inclined to agree with Chris on this. Can you please post here a full copy from the Admin page Edit of your Article:

PHPlist Bridge – Joomla newsletter solution released

    as you placed in the

    Intro Text

    Body Text

Click the Html icon in the Intro Text section and from the html window copy separately the “html” mark up rich version of the text that is contained in the “html window” from the Intro Text section, close that, and paste what you copied as suggested below.

Click the Html icon Body Text section and from the html window copy separately the “html” mark up rich version of the text that is contained in the “html window” from the Body Text section, close that, and paste what you copied as suggested below.

What you copied above, wrap it with the Code wrap (click Code icon), past them like this:

    Intro Text
postt html markup Intro text here

    and

    Body Text
postt html markup Body text here

as part of your post. This will give responders to analyze what you did.

My own bias is that you should not be using any “scripting” or html markups in the text that goes to the Intro text window in the Text Edit window in the Admin page. One person I know here has done that, and he had quite a lot of trouble.

You may introduce the mark ups including the page break in the text entered in the Body Text section, and there will be no problem.
