Hi, I’m going to open my website on February the 25th and I need help.
Yesterday I was uploading an article and had problems uploading a picture. I went to a forum and it said to set off the flash upload and it worked. After that y could upload the picture and update the article.
Once I got into the main page of the website there were a disorder of the colums, left, center and right and I don’t know what to do…
Please, help me.
Thanks.

February 6, 2009 at 11:18 am #289903Nothing, yesterday I removed the picture, published and unpublished the article… Nothing.
I thing it could be the change I did in global preferences about the flash upload; the change I did could be record on server this error.
Panic, Panic, Panic…
I’m about to reset the site…

February 6, 2009 at 12:04 pm #289917If you copy paste content in directly then you are also copying all kinda hidden tags (especially from microsoft word) and all kind of hiden styling. Wich are now most likely conflicting with your website.
If you want to copy in text then a good thing to do is copy it from word to notepad (wich will remove all hiden tags) and then copy from notepad into your article.
Best thing to do now is recreate your articles and make them without all hiden tags with a method like above.

February 6, 2009 at 12:05 pm #289918I think bennitos is saying, if you copy and paste your articles, from say, Word, then this can cause problems.
Copy from Word to Notepad, then to article, NEVER direct from Word, it contains horrible stuff!!
Remove everything in the articles and start again, pasting form Notepad (or Notebook, or whatever they call it in Windows! I use Mac!).

February 6, 2009 at 12:21 pm #289920Absolutely, but make sure you use the Format menu and “Make Plain Text” (shift-apple-t) before you paste. That will stop any problems or strange code arriving in your articles.
Glad to hear it worked!
Good luck with your site.

February 6, 2009 at 3:11 pm #289946I think you can use Wordpad as well if anyone wants to. It also takes away the extra tons of lines of code that Microsoft Word ads to anything you type.
