    Hi Joomlart team,

Having found out that the search function only works in the default layout, and not the custom home-1 layout, I made it so that the home-1 layout includes the mainbody block, but just underneath the parallax position and above the footer.

However eventhough this activates the search function, the results will appear below all of the parallax which is obvious a very bad solution for the visitor doing the search, because will he ever notice the results when he has to scroll down to the bottom.

I am aware that I can put the default above, but I really want it below the other positions, and eventhough if I did put it there the parallax positions would still appear below the results and that is not an ideal option either.

So what I am looking for would be that when you perform a search, the results would be opening up on a new page without anything else to distract the users eye. Can I achieve this and if so how do I implement it.

    thanks in advance

Also to add is that the search field does NOT work from the frontpage. Please how do we fix this.

Please create a “Search Page” menu item with default layout. Your problem should be fixed then.
