Is it possible make the pBlog listing and with max number of words or characters?

Right now the entire post shows. Like this:

Blog Entry 1
Some text here.

What I would like is to show only certain number of characters in the blog, and have users click on the title to read the rest. Like this:

Blog Entry 1
Some text…
