The PDF article output does not work on the following Adobe Reader 6.0 (Ver 6.0.1 03/11/2003).

    Using Joomla 1.5

The PDF function will work on Adobe Reader 8.0 though.

Anyone know the fix for V6.0?

Without trying to sound like a smartarse, updating to the latest adobe reader is always recommended as that is the way adobe addresses issues, by releasing another version rather than a specific fix, while its usually a big dl for some its generally automatic whenever you’re online, so most users of 6 should be upgraded automatically to 7, 8 etc and probably would not have the issue you described?

    Hi ShannonN

I understand your response above and do take it onboard. However for the users that do have V6 (Like myself who finds it stable) if there is a fix out there i would implement it.

I think though from testing the output of the PDF function if i cant get this fix i will disable it from articles.

It is usually a problem with the adobe fileopen plugin for IE, that plugin caused many many problems in adobe reader 6 (not only joomla related). Even adobe reader 5 did a better job than 6 in browsers.

Most problems where solved in version 7 and above.
