Pages of Seleni template have 3 icons for pdf, printing, and email. I have used printing and email successfully but not sure how the pdf icon works with a page. Do I need to upload a pdf document that will open when this icon is clicked? If so, how?
Or is a pdf document of the page supposed to be created when the icon is clicked? If so, how?
Thanks,

when u click on the pdf icon, a PDF is created for that particular article. Its an automated process in Joomla When u click that icon a pop up will open with a pdf file created.
If you want to upload a PDF document, that would have no relation to the above icon.
When you wish to upload your own PDF document, you need to upload it via FTP to ur server and then create a link to that pdf document, then it would show up when you click that link.

Thank you. Your answer is very helpful in understanding the function of the button and the difference with uploading other pdf documents. I do still get a blank screen when I click on the icon – apparantly this might have something to do with Windows 7 or other settings.prakash Friendprakash

December 22, 2009 at 11:59 am #327167The blank screen might be because of 2 reasons. one you do not have PDF reader installed on your system. Or for some reason plugin access may be blocked which prohibits display of PDF ….

December 22, 2009 at 4:36 pm #327176Thank you again. I do have Acrobat Professional (with Reader) so its probably some setting that I’ll track down when I have some time.
