October 8, 2015 at 10:29 pm #731395Is there a way to either have this so it opens full size or a way of centering the photo so it is at least cropped better showing a nicer looking portion of the shot.
This is the actual shot that I am trying to show

October 8, 2015 at 11:18 pm #751048Yes, you can add custom css to encourage such images to open either with a fixed greater height or even full height.
Add to your custom.css file
}
.article-intro .item-image {
max-height: 240px;
}and edit max-height to, say, 450px or 100% in place of 240px.
If needed add “!important” like this max-height: 240px!important;Good luck.

October 9, 2015 at 11:37 am #751138Create a new file using your FTP program e.g. Filezilla, called custom.css like this …… /templates/ja_teline_v/css/custom.css and paste into it
}
.article-intro .item-image {
max-height: 100%;
}With luck your image should be full size after you Save and refresh your front end a few times.
You can also see and edit this file in the back end here from Extensions > Templates and click on the ‘ja_teline_v’ link to the right of the default star, like in image below:
The window you then see should like the image below where you see ‘custom.css’ under /css
Good luck.
TimP.S. You can preview these css edits using ‘Inspect Element’ in your browser.

October 10, 2015 at 8:20 am #751211Yes, I actually have both old sites running
current while waiting to finish this http://www.baltimorecitypolicehistory.com/ and the first site I had done http://baltimorecitypolicedept.org/citypolice/bpd-history/bcp-class-photos.html
http://www.baltimorepolicehistory.net/
Then this one I think it’ll take about 2 or 3 weeks to complete I am taking the 520+ pages and putting them on here – I figure add them first them work on remaning the articles and catagories and menuesI was on for 16 years before becoming a paraplegic while chasing a carjack suspect
Thanks again for your assistance
kenny

October 12, 2015 at 2:02 pm #751401Good luck. Looks like you have a lot of preparation to do before building your Teline V site.
BTW: I get a message

October 13, 2015 at 1:47 pm #751516Do you men that the pages are too long because of so many images? If so, why not use an album module such as Simple Image Gallery? It’s the right price too. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/photos-a-images/galleries/simple-image-gallery
Or use the Gallery feature in Teline V http://t5qs344.gpmnews.com/index.php/gallery

October 13, 2015 at 8:35 pm #751554They were saying the number of pages, text and photo, so I started this rebuild, which should be done in maybe two weeks, and will be better to grow with as the history site, uses a lot of old historical news articles. So while it is confusing, and I would like to make a few changes, things like moving the comments to the bottom of the page rather splitting an article, as it does now
