I’m kind of at a loss here. Could anyone point me in the right direction on something? I upgraded my site to Joomla 1.5 this summer and selected the ja_purity theme. I had occasionally been seeing PHP exception errors, but a restart of IIS would clear them up. In order to try and resolve them I upgraded PHP to 5.2.9 over the weekend. The site seemed to work fine at first, but this morning I was getting nothing but “PHP has encountered a stack overflow.” After a lot of searching around, I found that the site will work fine as long as I do not have anything in the hornav position on the template. If I try to put anything there, be it my normal menu or a test menu with nothing in it, I get the stack overflow. Can anyone tell me what might cause this or point me in a direction to try and troubleshoot further? Site is http://cg.noacsc.org. Thanks!

Well I kept at it and finally got the issue resolved. I don’t understand why it was an issue, but I eventually narrowed it down to the ja-sosdmenu.css file by commenting out lines in the ja_purity index.php. Then I went through the css, removing sections to see what exactly was triggering the error. After all that, it looks like it was the comment block sections. I removed them and the problem was resolved. I have no idea why, but I”m glad it is working again.
