    And I replied to yours!!!

    Anyways,

I already used the Demo site of the JAVoice component!

The fact is that I would like to knw its features, does it merge with the CB , Jomsocial. Does it integrate with the profile. Can a person, login and still put in comments as an anonymous person.

    Regards,
    Mihir Chhatre.

Well done JA, Voice looks excellent. With Jomsocial integration and maybe an introductory price for members like JA Jobs, I’ll be buying!

    Cheers,

    J.

    Welcome back Hung!

It’s good to see actual faces and bodies, associated with Joomlart.

Is there a way to get just regular html or WYSIWYG versions of the presentations? Somehow, the download from pdf links provided by Arvind are showing errors. Thanks.

    Arvind,

Thanks for sharing the pics. Somehow, there are more people than names in the group photos. Maybe someone among the participants may help identify the others?

The frame work will be used in Teline III and as JA members you can have it in a week time 🙂

For a free version, we are developing JA Purity II using this framework and schedule to release it for free in September

Because my presentation files are made with Powerpoint 2007 so some animation was broken & word are overlapped. I will redesign the presentation to be compatible with PDF conversion.

Tell me how fancy you can make it because you can collaborate with me on the file using Google Docs Presentation, seriously 🙂

The download links are working fine, I have crosschecked them. You may also visit the Official Joomla Day Thailand website for more details and download links. This link enlisting the speakers might be of interest to you >> http://www.joomladay.in.th/en/speakers.html

Hi there, I had the opportunity go to the Joomla Day, I so I’ll try to identify the others on the pictures. I’ll refer to the first picture Arvind oploaded that has a large group standing. He already mentioned the JA team there. I am the taller guy in the middle.

To my right you see first Chris Talawat, founder of Tiger Idea, a digital creative agency. He is an entrepreneur, web desinger, creative trainer and a dreamer. He helped translate a lot of the speeches. Next to him you can see Me Akarawuth Tamarareang, President of Marvelic Engine, and more about him on http://www.joomladay.in.th/en/speakers.html next to him again is Sam Moffat, Core Joomla developer.Another one not in the picture who helped with translations is Keerati Sriprapruthchai, Operations Manager at figabyte.com. There, among other things he has put together a Joomla bundle for easy and quick deployment. Here are a couple links: http://www.sexdrum.net/2009/07/joomseed-seeding-your-joomla-site/ and http://www.sexdrum.net/2009/08/joomseed-beta2-released/
On the floor next to Hung: the first, not sure, the second, did not get to talk to him but he was the main MC of the meetings. The lady was the co-MC and she is the Managing Director of Marvelic Engine, working at Joomlacorner with Mr Akarawuth. Both working for Thai Mamabo/Joomla.

I hope that give a bit more detail to the pictures for those who were not there. Some asked for transcripts of the meetings. There are Joomla days in many parts of the world so you don’t always have to travel 8000 miles to find one. maybe there is one close to you?

    😀

Thanks Sunrise for the added information. I am sure there are related presentations in the other Joomla day regions. As I noted below, I am particularly interested with Hung’s presentation on “the new framework”. In a sense, from what I can gather, it seems to address many of the issues that I and many others have raised before about the inherent flaws and limitations of the current format of Joomla, especially the increased modularization in Joomla 1.5.x. It would be exciting to see how they implement it in JA Teline III, as a magazine template.

    Hi Arvind,

I think it is the pdf version used. It turned out, it only opens with the “latest version”. For some reason, my pdf default is an older version. I got a chance to see it finally, but it is just the summary powerpoint slides that are in there.

As Hung noted, the pdf format of the Powerpont covered some of the content. it would be useful to have access to a full text of Hung’s actual presentation, either as true rich-text pdf with the images, or an hml format, just like how it would appear in a Joomla page.

I understand what you mean. That is what made this Joomla day so special for JA I guess, that Hung was there himself, giving this presentation, that is was sponsored by JA as well. It sure would be nice to have the presentation either on Video or a full transcript. Hopefully that will come or there will be more explanations coming soon as Teline III gets closer to completion and the framework is uses will be explained. I am not a pro developer, but from what I understood at the Joomla Day it is quite a good step in the right direction of overcoming “the inherent flaws and limitations of the current format of Joomla”.

There have been a lot of requests for something new in the templates, and this is very new, and something everyone, I think, will be very happy for.
