Hi

A quick question about the ‘Featured Products’ module in the JA Ores K2 Demo.

In your demo you show the picture aligned to the left and then the text next to it. I’ve been through everything, played with it a lot and I can’t get it too dispaly the same.

I’m using the K2 Content module, is this the module you used on your demo or are you using something else?

Hi

Well, I installed the quickstart package so I could compare the two. We’re still not there yet. Though have made some progress. I’ve set up categories exactly as the K2 latest items part of the demo site and I’m now getting this.(See Screenshot)

The demo has a K2.css file installed in the K2 component, which I didn’t have. But can’t seem to get it too look like the demo.

The quickstart install displays correctly, so there must be something installed on our site that is interfering with the layout. Everything else seems to display ok, this seems to just relate to the K2 component. I will keep looking and playing to see if I can determine what it is.

Having had a further look at things, I decided to link my Joomla DB to the demo quickstart install I did. Everything displays ok when I do this.

So I’m thinking it is something definitely to do with our existing install, and perhaps a complete review of what we do have installed and use is in order. Then, clear out the domain, upload the quickstart package and start over. Might solve a lot of problems!!

Hi

Finally I have solved this problem and it’s taken a fair few hours to work out what differences there were between my install & the quickstart install!

If you use the quickstart install you won’t come up against this, if however you have an existing site and install this template then there are two files within K2 that do not get updated.

Namely

category.php
k2.css

Once these are installed in your K2 directory the categories and K2 Content module will display correctly. I don’t remember reading anywhere in the setup guides that these two files contain extra info for K2 & JA Ores to display properly, but if i’m wrong then sorry.

YOu access the module’s configuration and select a size option for the Image size parameter

OK, but it is already the smallest ! Anyway why 3th picture is very small et 2 others – no – it ‘s teh same module ?
