    I’d like to be able to display modules on the main content area, especially on the homepage where the featured articles usually go.
    In particular, I’m checking out modules that display articles in a fancy way, such as Lof Articless Slide Show and News Shop Pro GK4.

    My homepage is using a left-main-right layout.

    I tried setting the module position to main, middle, content – with no success.
    What’s the secret position code here?

    Using Joomla 1.7.1 with JA_Purity_ii

    Thanks!

    Hi morsagmon

    In this guide is described how to add a new module in the Ja_Purity_II template try to look there i’m sure that will be helpful to achieve what you need.

    Thanks

    No, this does not work! Too many upgrades since then…

    Eg. it says:
    <blockquote>In your templates folder, locate ja_purity_iilayouts folder. You will find there:
    default.php – the default layout of JA Purity II, we will rename this into shop.php;
    </blockquote>
    There is neither a layout folder nor a php file.

    Thank you Pavit, but kampp is right. This guide is heavily based on the Joomla 1.5 version of JA_Purity_ii and not helping.
    Is there any such guide for Joomla 1.7 based template?

    In the meantime, I’m trying to achieve something supposed to be very basic: have a module placed in the “featured” area of the home page. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this with Joomla 1.7.1 and JA_Purity_ii?

    Thanks!
