Forgive me for not knowing the exact terminology here, but I’m looking to place text where this template (ja_senecio used to say, “Welcome to the Frontpage”.

Now, admitedly, I’ve been toying with Joomla 1.5 beta 2, (I couldn’t resist!), but for production, I’m back to 1.0.12 and I don’t know if that was a feature exclusive to 1.5. Can someone please help me by showing me how to get that on my homepage, (and I am using 1.0.12). You can view my homepage at http://www.aimforgrowth.com/websites/newbeginningonline/

Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you!

Turn on ‘titles’ in your articles and publish it to the frontpage only, making the title into your welcome message?

ShannonN, I have done that, but to no avail. I must be missing something here, but I’ve checked, re-checked, etc. Any other ideas?

I’m not sure we are on the same wavelength here, bear with me, when I view the site ( FF 2.01) I see the first article on the frontpage having the required title ” Welcome to a new beginning ” etc as per the attached screenshot

isn’t that what you are trying to achieve here??

Actually, take a peak at http://www.aimforgrowth.com/websites/newbeginningonline/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogsection&id=0&Itemid=9 and see what I mean, or better yet, take a look at http://aimforgrowth.com/demos/0005/ and where it says, “Welcome to the Frontpage”, . . .this is what I am trying to accomplish.

Please help. Can’t get the “header text” in black font to display.

I’m looking to place our Site name above the “Welcome to a New Beginning!” line (the text is in blue here).

I want to display, “New Beginning Family Worship Center” above the “Welcome to a New Beginning” line. I dont’ think it can be done. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this one out.

Please see my previous post that shows an example of one that is working.
